Winter Comes was a commission from photographer Gregory Georges of www.gregorygeorges.com. It started out as a beautiful portrait of the girl in a blue sweater with a colorful fall backdrop. We wanted to make something breathtaking and give it an ethereal quality, so I took it through Painter and hand painted the new background, and added most of the hair. I was trying to paint "winter" as an innocent, young girl that quietly takes over, instead of a harsh ominous entity. Mr. Georges has given me full permission to display this portrait with his name credited.
